Research interests. generative AI, digitization, data/analytics, information aggregation, sharing, and revelation, social media, false information, new technologies, innovation.
Teaching summary. I teach data analytics classes in a variety of programs, including the UCL MBA, MSc Business Analytics, and executive education. I make a concerted effort to build intuition and contextual understanding of a variety of analytical methods. I have won multiple awards for my teaching, including the Best Teacher Award (UCL MBA and MSc Business Analytics).
Bio. I am an Assistant Professor in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship group at the UCL School of Management. I earned my doctorate from Harvard Business School. I received an A.B. at Dartmouth College.
My prior work experience includes strategy and finance roles at startups and financial services firms. My startup experience included founding introPLAY, which developed community-based services to promote physical activity. I also worked at Vencast, a financial services startup that matched institutional capital with startups, hedge funds, and private equity funds. My experience in finance includes Ahab Capital Management, a distressed hedge fund, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (since acquired by Credit Suisse), where I worked in the Space and Satellite Group. While working in industry, I was a CFA charterholder.
